But, as great as we know our available models are, we also know they're not the only premium, luxury vehicles vying for your attention. So, we took one of our favorite models, the 2018 Volvo S90, and pit it against a competing model, the 2018 Audi A6. Read on to see what we've discovered about these two popular cars.
The 2018 Volvo S90 vs. the 2018 Audi A6
- Engine options. While both the Volvo S90 and the Audi A6 allow drivers in Langhorne and Bensalem to choose the power and performance in their sedan, the Volvo allows for more options than the Audi. In fact, the Volvo gives drivers a choice between three engines, while the Audi A6 only has two. There's a traditional, gas-powered Volvo S90 that comes with either a 250-horsepower 4-cylinder, or a 316-horsepower turbocharged and supercharged 4-cylinder. There's also a hybrid version of the Volvo S90, which puts out a combined 400 horsepower. Audi doesn't offer a hybrid A6 model, so, it only comes in a choice of two gas-powered engines, either a 4-cylinder, or a V6.
- Measurements and interior space. Both of these luxury sedans have four doors and seating for five people. Both of them also have similar exterior measurements for height and width. However, the Volvo model actually has a wider wheelbase and measures a little longer than the Audi A6. The extra length means you, and your passengers, will enjoy more legroom in the Volvo than you would in the Audi, and the longer wheelbase makes the Volvo more stable on the road, especially over dirt roads, rough roads, and potholes.
- Available safety features. Volvo models are renowned for their safety, and the 2018 Volvo S90 is no different. This model comes with an incredible number of advanced safety features that are standard across trim levels. Some of our favorite safety technologies include a frontal collision mitigation system with special pedestrian, animal, and cyclist detection, a blind-spot monitor, Run-off Road mitigation and protection, and Volvo's Oncoming Lane Mitigation. The Audi A6 doesn't come standard with any of these features. In fact, in order to get them on the A6, drivers are forced to order a special, add-on package. Even then, the list of safety features isn't nearly as long, or as comprehensive, as that on the Volvo.
